The operation of a Roots vacuum pump requires electrical maintenance; therefore, before using the equipment, you must first connect its wiring. However, you need to install the equipment’s cables strictly according to the specified operating instructions to ensure proper use of the Roots vacuum pump and avoid damaging the equipment.
Roots vacuum pump Its operation requires electrical maintenance; therefore, before using the equipment, you must first connect its wiring. However, you must strictly follow the specified operating instructions when installing the equipment cables to ensure proper use of the Roots vacuum pump and avoid damaging the equipment.

1. When wiring the Roots vacuum pump, if you use polyester insulating tape, be sure to overlap each layer by half a turn and wrap it in 8 to 12 layers. After wrapping, use additional tape to secure the two outer layers for added strength. Next, when making the connections, strip about 30–35 mm of the copper core from the cable. Then, use fine-grit sandpaper to thoroughly clean and polish the exposed copper surface until it shines. Similarly, strip the copper wires of the external three-core cable by about 30–35 mm, and then use sandpaper to clean them thoroughly.
2. To connect the Roots vacuum pump, insert the stripped copper wires from the three-core cable and the external cable together, then tightly secure them with fine copper wire. The remaining portions should be cut off and smoothed with scissors to prevent your hands from getting caught. When making the connections, use solder to firmly weld the ends of the device’s three leads. The surface of the soldered joints must be smooth, free of burrs, and free of false soldering. If the soldering is loose or uneven, re-solder the vacuum pump until the requirements are met.
3. Additionally, use tape to... Roots vacuum pump Three wires are twisted together and wrapped in two layers. The first layer extends beyond the end of each wire’s insulation by more than 50 mm, and the second layer extends beyond the end of the first layer by another 50 mm. After wrapping, place the assembly into a basin of cold water, ensuring that the threaded ends are safely submerged in the water. After 12 hours, use a 500V megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance; it must not be lower than 50 megohms. If the insulation resistance fails to meet this requirement, re-wrap the assembly until the specification is satisfied.
4. The ground wire must be wound according to the requirements of the submersible cable wiring procedure. After connecting the lead wires, the insulation resistance should be continuously measured while the cable is underground to prevent damage to the cable insulation. If the insulation resistance drops to 0.5 TΩ or lower, and the insulation resistance falls below the European standard, the insulation layer needs to be re-insulated and the cause must be identified.
The above is Roots vacuum pump The correct wiring method. Please connect the cables according to the specifications to ensure the proper use and performance of the equipment; however, to guarantee safe operation, you must follow the prescribed operating requirements.
