 Air suspension fan

  I. Introduction to Air-Suspension Fans

The air-bearing fan integrates all components—including monitoring equipment and an automatic anti-surge system—onto the chassis. Its key features include higher efficiency compared to conventional aeration fans, significant energy savings, low noise levels, and stable operation. A real-time Chinese-language touchscreen provides convenience for operators, helping to prevent accidents. Additionally, the use of air bearings ensures no wear and tear, eliminating the need for maintenance—only periodic cleaning of the filters is required.

The cooling method employs air-cooling, which provides excellent cooling performance. Since air suspension bearings are used, the supplied air is free of oil and grease, thus preventing secondary contamination.

II. Air suspension fan The main functions

Aeration is introduced into the wastewater treatment system to increase the oxygen content in the water, thereby removing iron and manganese, promoting the decomposition by aerobic microorganisms, and achieving the purpose of oxidizing and precipitating impurities.

Aeration also enables thorough contact between water and air, facilitating the exchange of gaseous substances and removing volatile compounds from the water. For example, it can eliminate odors from the water and remove harmful gases such as carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide. Sediments accumulated at the bottom can also be introduced into the system through air inlets located at the bottom and then pumped out.

III. Operating Procedures and Precautions for Air-Suspended Fans

Air-bearing blowers are one of the crucial process devices in chemical wastewater treatment systems, and proper operation can help extend the blower’s service life. The correct method for starting and stopping the blower is as follows.

Turn on the fan: First, click the “Start” button, then click the “Ready” button and wait a few seconds. When the “System Power” indicator turns green, click the fan icon to confirm that the fan is working properly.

Turn off the fan: If you need to turn off the power, click the fan icon on the touchscreen and then click the “Off” button. Otherwise, the cooling fan will remain on.

Four. Air suspension fan Cooling system

The air suspension fan cooling system is divided into an internal cooling system and an external cooling system.

Internal cooling system: Air cooling is employed, with a cooling fan reducing the internal temperature. The internal temperature of the entire design is maintained at around 40°C. If air cooling alone cannot sufficiently lower the cooling temperature, external cooling water can be introduced and used for heat exchange in a heat exchanger.

In winter, the cooling fan can absorb heat from both the internal cooling system and the ambient temperature.

The function of the five-air suspension fan

Air-bearing fans, also known as air-bearing single-stage high-speed centrifugal fans, have emerged in recent years as a new type of energy-efficient fan that is replacing Roots blowers. Although these advanced devices tend to be more expensive upfront, their overall efficiency far surpasses that of Roots blowers. Energy consumption by these fans accounts for 50% of the total energy use in wastewater treatment plants.

The air flotation single-stage high-speed fan is a new type of fan that integrates air bearing technology with high-speed motor technology. It is approximately 30% more energy-efficient than conventional fans and boasts outstanding advantages such as energy and environmental conservation, simple structure, intelligent integration, and easy operation and maintenance.
